Level 2 International Award in Food Safety

The objective of this course is to equip with the knowledge and skills necessary to produce safe food to those who are or will be employed in a food or catering industry.  This course covers roles and responsibilities of those involved in the storage, preparation, cooking service, and handling of food.  Participants will understand the importance of maintaining good practice in the production of safe food. 

Level 2 International Award in Food Safety course covers:

  • Understand how an individual can take personal responsibility for food safety
  • Understand the importance of food handlers keeping themselves clean and hygienic
  • Understanding the importance of keeping work areas clean and hygienic
  • Identifying the importance of keeping food products safe

Level 3 Award in Food Safety for Catering

The objective of this course is to equip with the knowledge and skills necessary to progress to a higher or supervisory level within a food catering business. The course helps to ensure compliance with food safety legislation, to apply and monitor good hygiene practices, to implement food safety management procedures, and to apply and monitor good practices regarding contamination, microbiology, and temperature control.

Level 3 Award in Food Safety for Catering course covers:

  • Understand the requirements for ensuring compliance with food safety legislation and management procedures
  • Understand the application and monitoring of good practices regarding contamination, temperature control, personal hygiene, and cleaning.
